Hufvudstaden board approves share repurchase program of up to SEK 1 billion
Hufvudstaden AB has initiated a repurchase of its Series A shares, utilizing authorization granted during the 2026 annual general meeting.
The Board of Directors at Hufvudstaden AB has moved to execute a share buyback program, authorizing the repurchase of Series A shares up to a maximum value of SEK 1 billion. The decision stems from the mandate approved by shareholders during the company’s annual meeting on March 19, 2026.
The repurchase period is scheduled to commence on November 6, 2026, and will remain in effect until the 2027 annual general meeting. To ensure compliance with market regulations, the company has capped the program so that its total holding of treasury shares never exceeds 10 percent of the total outstanding share capital.
Share repurchases are frequently used by publicly listed firms to adjust capital structures and return excess liquidity to shareholders. This move aligns with the financial parameters established by the board following the previous shareholder vote.
