HUL-Owned Minimalist Reports Profitability in FY26, Revenue Up 36%

Minimalist, a beauty and personal care brand owned by Hindustan Unilever (HUL), has returned to profitability in the fiscal year 2026. The company reported a net profit of ₹25.9 crore, a significant turnaround from a loss of ₹270.5 crore in the previous fiscal year. The prior year's result was impacted by an exceptional charge of ₹283.8 crore.

Operating revenue for Minimalist rose by 36.3% to ₹690.2 crore in FY26, compared to ₹506.5 crore in FY25. Total income, including other income, reached ₹697.4 crore, marking a 37% increase from the previous fiscal year.

HUL noted that the brand's "science-first" proposition, expansion of key serum and moisturizer products, and deepened digital execution drove growth. Minimalist, founded in 2020, offers skincare, haircare, and bodycare products.

HUL acquired a 90.5% stake in Minimalist's parent company, Uprising Science Private Ltd, in April 2025. The brand is now focusing on offline expansion, aiming to increase its retail footprint from 3,000 to 40,000 stores.
