HUMAIN signs $15 billion in tech agreements to scale Saudi AI capacity

Saudi-backed HUMAIN has finalized major partnerships with global tech firms to expand national data center capacity to 3.4 gigawatts.

3 November 2026

HUMAIN, a Saudi Arabian entity under the Crown Prince’s office, has disclosed a series of project agreements worth over $15 billion. The partnerships, confirmed at the LEAP 2026 event in Riyadh, include major commitments from firms such as AMD, AWS, Microsoft, Qualcomm, and Adobe. Led by CEO Tareq Amin, the firm is positioning itself as a central operator for the nation's burgeoning artificial intelligence infrastructure.

The scale of the initiative is significant, with plans to grow data center capacity from the current 467 megawatts to 3.4 gigawatts. Industry analysts note that while capital is available, the primary operational challenge lies in the procurement and integration of power systems, specifically switchgear and cooling infrastructure, required to support this hardware at scale.

HUMAIN’s strategy relies on vertical integration, distinguishing it from regional competitors that often lease capacity. By owning the data centers and directly contracting chip providers and cloud service providers, the firm is attempting to exert greater control over its sovereign computing resources. Recent activities, including financing frameworks with the National Infrastructure Fund and joint ventures with local telecom providers, underscore the rapid pace of this infrastructure development.
