Humanoid Robot Costs Drop Below 100,000 Yuan

Shenzhen-based ENGINEAI, a manufacturer of humanoid robots, announced that the cost for a general-purpose humanoid robot capable of performing practical tasks has fallen below RMB100,000 per unit.

Company CEO Zhao Tongyang stated that comparable robots cost over RMB1 million just three years ago. He clarified that this figure pertains to robots designed for factory, household, and other practical applications, distinguishing them from lower-cost toy products.

The significant reduction in production costs could accelerate the adoption of humanoid robots across various industries and domestic settings. This trend may lead to enhanced automation and potentially lower labor expenses.

This development signifies a maturing market for robotics, where technological advancements are making sophisticated machines more accessible for widespread use.
