Hunar.AI Raises ₹40 Cr For Agentic AI in Hiring

Bengaluru-based conversational AI startup Hunar.AI announced it has raised ₹40 Cr ($4.2 million) in a Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures. Other investors included Hyderabad Angels Fund, Together Fund, and multiple individual investors.

Hunar.AI focuses on automating HR workflows for frontline workers—those who directly provide goods and services. These workers are common in sectors like quick commerce, e-commerce, logistics, retail, and financial services. The startup's AI agents are designed to handle tasks such as hiring, onboarding, training, and retention across multiple locations and languages, supporting over 20 languages including several Indian regional dialects.

The newly acquired capital is earmarked for strengthening the company's AI infrastructure, enhancing product development, and bolstering its go-to-market strategy. The move aims to address the significant challenge of managing large numbers of frontline workers, a task often made more complex by fluctuating hiring demands and the need for multilingual communication.

The company reports that its AI agents have processed over 15 million conversations as of September 2026, with volumes doubling quarterly. Clients include companies such as Swiggy, Zepto, and Starbucks. This funding comes amid projections of substantial growth in India's gig workforce, highlighting the increasing demand for efficient workforce management solutions.
