Hyatt adopts digital room keys in Apple Wallet via ASSA ABLOY

Hyatt has begun offering guests the ability to use their room keys via Apple Wallet, supported by ASSA ABLOY's Vostio Access Management solution. This technology allows digital keys to be stored directly on an iPhone or Apple Watch.

The initiative is currently being rolled out to six Hyatt hotels in the United States, with plans for further expansion. Vostio Access Management provides flexible management for both guest and staff keys, utilizing advanced data encryption to securely deliver digital key information to guest devices.

The cloud-based Vostio Access Management platform reduces the need for on-site maintenance, as software updates are handled remotely by ASSA ABLOY's expert team. This approach ensures the system remains current and secure without requiring continuous capital investment from the hotels.

Hyatt states that the solution enhances security while simultaneously reducing operational demands on hotel staff. By expanding the use of this technology, Hyatt aims to provide its guests with a more seamless and modern lodging experience.
