Hydro Energi and Varberg Energi sign hybrid power agreement

<h2>Deliveries to begin July 2026</h2> <p>Hydro Energi AS and Varberg Energi have entered into a hybrid power purchase agreement aimed at providing a more stable supply of renewable electricity for industrial use. Under the terms of the agreement, Varberg Energi will deliver electricity generated from its own wind and solar power, supplemented by energy storage capacity.</p> <p>The hybrid power purchase agreement is designed to create a more balanced delivery profile by reducing variability associated with intermittent renewable energy sources. The structure also intends to secure a stable power supply for industrial consumption and serve as a proof of concept for similar future market solutions.</p> <p>This collaboration combines various renewable energy resources and storage technology into a model intended to meet industry's demand for long-term, competitive, and sustainable electricity. A key element of the agreement involves a structured exchange of knowledge and information between Hydro Energi and Varberg Energi.</p> <p>The companies will focus on how different energy resources and technologies can be combined and optimized to better meet industrial electricity demand. The agreement secures a total supply of 10 GWh of power in the SE3 region over an 18-month period, with deliveries commencing in July 2026.</p> <p>Through this pilot agreement, Hydro Energi and Varberg Energi are testing a renewable power supply model that integrates wind, solar, and storage to enable more predictable electricity delivery for industrial operations.</p>
