Hyperfine Swoop® MRI gains AI upgrade for stroke visualization

Hyperfine has launched a new AI-enhanced software update for its portable Swoop® MRI system, aiming to improve stroke visualization. The system has received a new CE-marked software version that includes an advanced multi-directional diffusion-weighted sequence (Multi-directional DWI).

The enhanced DWI sequence mimics techniques used in high-field MRI, employing a multi-direction image acquisition approach. This allows for quicker and clearer visibility of smaller strokes directly at the patient's bedside, potentially expediting diagnosis in critical care settings.

The upgrade is designed to provide healthcare professionals with faster and more accurate diagnostic data for stroke patients. By bringing advanced imaging capabilities closer to the patient, Hyperfine aims to reduce delays in treatment initiation.

The Swoop® system is designed for point-of-care use, allowing immediate imaging without the need to transport patients to a traditional MRI suite. This latest software revision underscores Hyperfine's commitment to advancing portable diagnostic imaging technology.
