IASO Bio CAR-T Cell Persistence Linked to Sustained MRD Negativity
New analysis from IASO Bio indicates that patients with longer persistence of CAR-T cells in vivo show more sustained minimal residual disease (MRD) negativity and delayed disease progression.

IASO Bio presented new findings from its FUMANBA-1 study at the International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting. A retrospective analysis of 102 patients who achieved minimal residual disease (MRD) negativity suggests that the in vivo persistence of CAR-T cells (FUCASO) is associated with sustained MRD negativity and delayed disease progression.
The research indicated that patients with specific high-risk features, such as del(17p) chromosomal abnormalities, high tumor burden, or rapidly progressive disease, were more prone to early CAR-T cell clearance and conversion of MRD negativity.
This analysis, based on data from patients treated with FUCASO, aims to deepen the understanding of the long-term effects of CAR-T cell therapy and inform potential strategies for treatment optimization. The findings are hypothesis-generating and may guide future research.
IASO Bio is focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel cell therapies for hematologic malignancies and autoimmune diseases.
