IASO Bio Presents Early Data on RD140 CAR-T Therapy for Multiple Myeloma
IASO Bio has announced preliminary results from a Phase 1 study of its RD140 CAR-T therapy for patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. The treatment achieved an 88.9% objective response rate and high MRD negativity without observed neurotoxicity.

IASO Bio, a biopharmaceutical company, has presented preliminary data from its first-in-human Phase 1 clinical study of RD140, a CAR-T cell therapy targeting patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma and plasma cell leukemia. These patients have typically undergone multiple prior treatment lines.
The study showed that 88.9% of patients achieved an objective response to the RD140 therapy. Furthermore, 88.9% of participants achieved minimal residual disease (MRD) negativity. Notably, no instances of neurotoxicity, a significant concern in multiple myeloma treatment, were observed. Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) was also predominantly low-grade.
RD140 is a fully human CAR-T cell therapy designed to target two molecules on cancer cells: BCMA and GPRC5D. It utilizes the FasT CAR-T platform, which allows for rapid cell manufacturing in just 3-4 days. This contrasts with traditional CAR-T therapies that can have significantly longer production times.
The initial findings were presented at the 2026 International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting. The results support further clinical evaluation of RD140 in larger patient populations and with extended follow-up to more thoroughly assess its efficacy and safety profile.
