IBD Summit 2026 Opens in Dubai Focusing on Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The IBD Summit 2026 commenced on July 21, 2026, at the Marriott Marquis Dubai, centered on advancing the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The inauguration was led by H.E. Mubaraka Ibrahim, Chief Information Officer and Chief AI Officer at Emirates Health Services (EHS).

This year's summit, themed "The IL-23 era for IBD: UAE Experience Exchange," convened leading regional and international experts, including gastroenterologists, healthcare professionals, and policymakers. The gathering aimed to discuss recent advances in IBD management and reinforce patient-centered care across the GCC region.

H.E. Mubaraka Ibrahim highlighted the necessity of integrating medical expertise with emerging technologies to keep pace with rapid healthcare advancements. She emphasized expanding strategic partnerships to foster innovation and knowledge exchange, positioning the summit as a crucial scientific platform for aligning perspectives and sharing best practices in IBD diagnosis and treatment.

The two-day summit featured scientific sessions, panel discussions, and multidisciplinary exchanges on treatment strategies and care models. Key initiatives presented included the GCC IBD Patient Conversation Guide. Additionally, the IBD Remission Pledge Wall was inaugurated, and Nadine Omar was recognized for her contributions to specialized IBD nursing education in the region.
