iboss Unveils AI-Powered Data Loss Prevention System
Security firm iboss has introduced an AI-driven data loss prevention solution that monitors and blocks sensitive data transfers without relying on traditional labeling systems.

Cybersecurity company iboss has announced its new AI DLP (Data Loss Prevention) system, designed to identify and block sensitive information in real time using machine learning. The technology aims to bypass the limitations of traditional systems, which typically rely on rigid pattern matching or manual data labels that often fail when files are mislabeled or unlabeled.
The system conducts deep content inspection, including OCR for document and image analysis, to track sensitive data as it moves to AI platforms, cloud apps, and other services. According to CEO Paul Martini, the shift to content-based inspection addresses a primary vulnerability in modern data security, where sensitive assets such as source code or customer information frequently bypass conventional filters.
The platform includes risk scoring and automated reporting to support compliance with regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS. Built on the company's existing containerized architecture, the solution is designed to integrate with iboss's established web gateway and zero-trust products. The system is scheduled for private preview in December 2026.
