iBUYPOWER Releases Pro AMD AI Halo Mini PC
North American system integrator iBUYPOWER has launched the Pro AMD AI Halo mini PC. The compact 2.8-liter machine is equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor and is priced at $3,999.
North American system integrator iBUYPOWER announced the release of its Pro AMD AI Halo mini PC. The device features a compact 2.8-liter chassis with a minimalist design and is targeted towards professional users. Availability will be through a limited release this quarter.
A notable specification is the inclusion of the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. However, the system's memory support is limited to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000, a specification aligned with the previous "Strix Halo" generation. This memory configuration might present a bottleneck for highly demanding AI workloads.
The mini PC offers multiple M.2 PCIe slots for storage expansion and integrates Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity. Connectivity options include two USB-C 40Gbps ports, dual 10GbE RJ-45 Ethernet ports, an SD card reader, and several USB-A ports. Video outputs consist of HDMI 2.1 (FRL6) and DisplayPort 1.4 (HBR3).
The iBUYPOWER Pro AMD AI Halo is priced at $3,999. The limited release this quarter suggests a focus on a specific segment of the professional market or early adopters of AI-focused hardware.
