ICP DAS-BMP to Unveil Medical-Grade TPU Innovations at COMPAMED 2026

Medical polymer supplier ICP DAS-BMP is set to showcase its latest thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) portfolio at COMPAMED 2026 in Düsseldorf, held from November 16 to 19. The presentation will center on material solutions designed for invasive medical devices, specifically targeting durability and ease of handling.

The firm will introduce its low-migration and low-friction series. The Arothane™ ARP-B20, designed for implants lasting up to 90 days, minimizes additive migration to maintain device integrity. Simultaneously, the low-friction line aims to replace traditional coatings on catheters, utilizing PFAS-free compositions to improve clinical usability.

During the event, the company will officially join the Taiwan TPU Alliance, a collaborative effort led by Towards Buddha Co., Ltd. The alliance incorporates various stakeholders in the manufacturing ecosystem—including machine builders and injection molding experts—to streamline the supply chain for medical-grade plastic production.

Operating under ISO 13485 standards, ICP DAS-BMP utilizes its background in industrial automation to manage production. This move to the alliance reflects a broader trend in the medical device sector toward integrated, multi-vendor manufacturing solutions to ensure quality control and supply chain stability.
