IDnow Certified to Issue Qualified Electronic Attribute Certificates (QEAA)

IDnow, a German company specializing in identity verification and trusted services, has achieved certification for the issuance of Qualified Electronic Attribute Certificates (QEAA).

This certification enables IDnow to offer businesses a way to legally utilize verified attributes that are not consistently provided by national eID systems or the forthcoming EUDI Wallet. These attributes can include verified information such as age or professional qualifications.

The new service aims to enhance the trustworthiness of digital transactions and support regulatory compliance for businesses. By using QEAA certificates, companies can verify specific user attributes without requiring the extensive sharing of personal identification details.

Armin Stepanian, CEO of IDnow, stated that the certification reinforces the company's role in the European trusted services landscape. The new capability is expected to support European digital identity initiatives by facilitating secure data exchange.
