ieGeek Opens Pre-orders for ZY-Q5 Security Camera System
ieGeek has launched pre-orders for its ZY-Q5 surveillance system, featuring local video storage and solar-assisted cameras for the European market.
Consumer security firm ieGeek has opened pre-orders for its ZY-Q5 surveillance system in the UK and Europe. The release marks a continued push for hardware that favors local storage, allowing customers to bypass monthly cloud subscription fees.
The system utilizes a central base station capable of supporting up to eight cameras. It accommodates microSD cards with up to 512GB of storage, which the company claims provides sufficient capacity for managing multiple entry points and exterior areas via the centralized ieGeek Cam application.
The ZY-Q5 cameras operate on 5MP sensors and include solar charging capabilities, color night vision, and AI-driven movement tracking. Rated for weather resistance at IP65, the hardware is intended for permanent outdoor installation. Official sales are scheduled to commence on November 15, 2026, with the first shipments expected by November 25.
