ieGeek opens reservations for ZY-Q5 security camera system
ieGeek has launched pre-orders for its ZY-Q5 security camera system, featuring subscription-free local storage. The system is scheduled for release on November 15, 2026.
Security hardware manufacturer ieGeek has opened reservations for its latest ZY-Q5 camera system in the UK and European markets. The system utilizes a central base station capable of supporting up to eight cameras, facilitating local video storage via microSD cards of up to 512GB to bypass recurring cloud subscription fees.
Equipped with 5MP sensors, the cameras provide color night vision, AI-driven motion tracking, and two-way audio. The units are solar-assisted and carry an IP65 ingress protection rating, designed for long-term outdoor deployment. Users manage live feeds and alert schedules through the ieGeek Cam application.
General availability begins on November 15, 2026, with the first wave of pre-orders expected to ship on November 25. The company will concurrently run a Black Friday sales event, offering discounted pricing on its broader range of monitoring hardware throughout late November.
