ieGeek opens reservations for ZY-Q5 security camera system
ieGeek has launched pre-orders for its ZY-Q5 surveillance system, which features local storage to bypass recurring monthly subscription fees.
Consumer security manufacturer ieGeek has opened reservations for its ZY-Q5 security camera system in the UK and European markets. The system pairs 5-megapixel outdoor cameras with a centralized base station, supporting up to eight cameras per unit. Unlike many contemporary cloud-reliant security solutions, the ZY-Q5 utilizes local storage, accepting microSD cards of up to 512 GB.
Designed for residential outdoor use, the cameras include solar-assisted charging and carry an IP65 weather-resistance rating. Technical specifications include AI-driven movement tracking, color night vision, and two-way audio capabilities. Users can manage live feeds and monitoring schedules through the company’s dedicated mobile application.
Official orders are scheduled to commence on November 15, 2026, with the initial shipment wave slated for November 25. The company is concurrently preparing for its Black Friday promotion, which includes discounted pricing on various existing models such as the S5 and S11 series.
