The IEM Beijing 2026 esports tournament opened today, featuring 16 teams competing for the Counter-Strike 2 championship.

2 November 2026

The IEM Beijing 2026 tournament officially began at 10:00 local time, bringing 16 professional teams together to compete in the latest iteration of the Counter-Strike series. The event is being hosted at the M53 Huaxi Live ECM Center in the Haidian District.

The competition format consists of two primary stages: group play and a knockout phase. Teams are divided into two groups of eight, utilizing a double-elimination bracket to determine seeding. The winners of each group advance directly to the semifinals, while second and third-place finishers enter the quarterfinals. The knockout stage transitions to a single-elimination format, concluding with a best-of-five grand final.

Among the participants is the local team TYLOO, which faces a challenging opening match against MOUZ, a team that recently placed third at the PGL Bucharest Masters 2026. This tournament represents a significant fixture on the competitive calendar, with all matches conducted in an offline, in-person environment.
