iFixit Releases New Toolkit for Household Repairs
iFixit, known for its electronics repair tools, has launched the Megalodon Driver Kit, a new toolkit designed for household repairs and furniture assembly.

iFixit, widely recognized for its detailed electronics teardowns and specialized toolkits, has announced a new product aimed at home repairs and DIY projects. The company's new Megalodon Driver Kit, priced at $34.95, includes a newly designed screwdriver intended as an improved alternative to traditional ratcheting drivers.
The central feature of the kit is the Megalodon driver, distinguished by a bright blue end cap referred to by iFixit as the Swivel Grip Cap. This design allows the screwdriver shaft to spin freely, enhancing efficiency for tasks such as assembling flat-pack furniture or repairing home appliances.
According to the company, the new tool aims to provide better control and comfort compared to standard screwdrivers. The kit also contains a variety of bits suitable for a range of common household repair needs.
This release marks an expansion for iFixit beyond its core electronics focus, aiming to offer practical solutions for a broader consumer base involved in home maintenance and smaller building projects.
