IGEL Appoints Former DoD Zero Trust Leader Randy Resnick as Field CTO
IGEL, a software company, has appointed Randy Resnick, a recognized Zero Trust leader from the U.S. Department of Defense, as its Field CTO. He will focus on advancing the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform strategy, particularly for government and critical infrastructure clients.

IGEL, a global software company behind the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform™ (IASEP™), has named Randy Resnick as its Field CTO. Resnick, who brings nearly four decades of experience from the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Security Agency (NSA), will spearhead the strategy for IGEL's platform, focusing on Zero Trust security, cybersecurity, and AI.
Resnick's appointment is intended to bolster IGEL's efforts in the government and critical infrastructure sectors. Previously, he led Zero Trust portfolio management efforts at the DoD, where he was instrumental in developing the department's strategy and reference architectures for implementing Zero Trust across large, complex technological environments. His background includes significant technical leadership roles at the NSA.
"Randy is internationally recognized for his Zero Trust leadership, but what makes him particularly valuable as an advisor to IGEL’s customers and partners is his ability to take transformative cybersecurity concepts from strategy and architecture through program development and operational implementation," said Klaus Oestermann, CEO of IGEL. "That combination of technical vision, leadership, and execution serves to align exceptionally well with the next phase of market adoption for the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform™."
Resnick's move from leading strategy within the defense sector to a commercial software role is seen by IGEL as a validation of its platform approach. He is expected to translate combat-proven architectures from national security frameworks into practical solutions for commercial critical infrastructure and government sectors, including finance, healthcare, and energy. His responsibilities will also extend globally, covering NATO and Five Eyes countries, as well as key markets in Asia and the Middle East.
