South Korean startup iHW, specializing in ultra-low power AI semiconductor chips, has secured 520 billion won (approximately $38 million) in Series A funding.

South Korean fabless company iHW, which designs ultra-low power artificial intelligence semiconductor chips, announced it has raised 520 billion won (approximately $38 million) in a Series A funding round.
The round was led by Kolon Investment and saw participation from all existing investors, including Woori Venture Partners, Mirae Asset Venture Investment, DSC Investment, and HB Investment. Korea Development Bank joined as a new investor, alongside LIG Defense & Aerospace, which formed a consortium with IBK Capital.
This investment follows a 120 billion won (approximately $8.7 million) Pre-Series A funding round completed in late 2024. The cumulative funding now significantly surpasses previous rounds.
iHW intends to use the capital to accelerate the development and production of its ultra-low power AI semiconductor technology. The company aims to expand its market presence and strengthen its position within the semiconductor industry.
