Illumina Launches BioInsight Platform for Data Analysis
Illumina has introduced the BioInsight Platform, its first unified software environment combining analysis, AI, and data to accelerate genomic research.
Illumina, Inc. (NASDAQ: ILMN) has debuted the Illumina BioInsight Platform, the company's first unified software environment designed to help researchers translate complex genomic and multiomic data into actionable biological insights.
The new platform integrates Illumina's analysis applications, purpose-built AI, and curated data resources in a single environment. This aims to provide flexibility and accessibility while reducing the need for researchers to manage separate informatics tools as studies evolve. Illumina established the BioInsight business unit a year ago to address the challenge of efficiently converting large datasets into meaningful findings.
The BioInsight Platform includes the latest DRAGEN v4.6 update, which expands access to Illumina's award-winning secondary analysis software. New deployment options, including DRAGEN software mode, allow analyses to be run across various supported cloud and standard CPU environments.
Rami Mehio, senior vice president and general manager of BioInsight at Illumina, stated the platform builds on the company's decade-plus of innovation. "BioInsight accelerates our pace of innovation," Mehio said. "Customers will have one simple place to access the full breadth of our offerings across software, AI, and data."
