IMDA and National University Hospital launch clinical technology partnership
Singapore’s IMDA and National University Hospital are collaborating via the Open Innovation Platform to address hospital operational challenges through technology.

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the National University Hospital (NUH) have launched a partnership to accelerate the deployment of technology in public healthcare. By utilizing the Open Innovation Platform, the collaboration seeks to bridge the gap between clinical requirements and technological development.
The project connects technology providers directly with clinicians and administrative staff at NUH to address real-world operational challenges. This approach is intended to ensure that new tools and digital solutions are developed with specific hospital workflows in mind, rather than in isolation from the clinical environment.
This partnership represents a structural shift in how the Singaporean public health sector approaches digital transformation. By formalizing a pathway for external developers to access hospital data and environments, NUH aims to shorten the development lifecycle of solutions designed to improve patient care and hospital efficiency.
