Impossible Objects delivers 3D printers to Army

Impossible Objects has developed next-generation 3D printing systems for manufacturers. The company claims its technology is up to 15 times faster than current competing solutions.

The U.S. Army has already acquired Impossible Objects equipment. The new machines are capable of producing up to 10,000 drones per month. This speed enables mass production of complex, lightweight, and disposable devices, particularly suitable for military applications.

Impossible Objects' advanced printers produce parts that the company states are stronger, lighter, and more precisely machined than those made with previous methods. The company anticipates its next generation of machines will offer up to a 65-fold increase in production speed.

The technology produces materials at an industrial scale that are comparable to aluminum in strength-to-weight ratio, with production costs matching traditional manufacturing methods. Many new products, especially those for military use, require complex geometries not previously achievable with injection molding techniques.
