Inc. Magazine Ranks Copenhagen Happiest City

Inc. Magazine has released its latest Happy City Index, a ranking of the world's happiest cities designed to assist remote workers and entrepreneurs in selecting viable living and working locations.

The report evaluated 1,000 cities based on 64 distinct indicators across six broad categories: quality of life, good governance, sustainability, long-term development strategies, social capital, and well-being.

Copenhagen, Denmark, secured the top position with a total score of 6,954 points. The city received high marks particularly for its work-life balance, sustainability, and healthcare accessibility. Copenhagen was followed by last year's winner, Helsinki, Finland, and Geneva, Switzerland.

According to the report, Copenhagen residents experience strong mental well-being and a balanced work-life dynamic. They typically receive 25 annual vacation days and work around 37 hours per week. The city has also implemented strategies focused on mental health and overall well-being.

The Happy City Index can serve as a resource for individuals, especially digital nomads and entrepreneurs, aiming to optimize their environments for mental health and mobility.
