Inc42 identifies 30 notable startups in India for October
Media and research firm Inc42 has released its latest cohort of 30 emerging startups, highlighting growth in deeptech and automation despite a cooling funding climate.

Inc42 has published its monthly selection of 30 startups, focusing on ventures in deeptech, automation, and consumer goods. The report highlights firms spanning AI evaluation, lunar infrastructure, and advanced sensor technology. This selection arrives as the Indian startup ecosystem navigates a period marked by intensified cybersecurity scrutiny and evolving regulatory frameworks.
Startup funding in India reached $686 million in October, representing a nearly 10% month-over-month decline. While aggregate capital inflows slowed, sector-specific interest in AI, semiconductors, and industrial automation remained robust. The public markets also saw continued activity, with firms like Zetwerk and Tonbo Imaging completing market debuts during the month.
The featured cohort includes companies such as The 1970 Shop, which produces processed-free traditional snacks; Archgen Labs, an AI-driven electronic design automation firm; and Balisto Agritech, a developer of multipurpose electric farm equipment. These startups face the challenge of scaling operations while adhering to increasingly stringent compliance standards in a competitive digital market.
