India Tablet Market Sees Growth in Q2 2026, Led by Apple and Lenovo

India's tablet market experienced an 11% year-over-year increase in shipments during the second quarter of 2026, totaling 1.3 million units, as reported by market research firm Omdia. This growth was driven by significant gains from key players.
Apple saw its tablet shipments surge by 34.5%, accounting for 314,000 units and capturing a 23.6% market share. Lenovo emerged as the fastest-growing vendor, with shipments nearly doubling at an 89.9% increase, reaching 264,000 units and securing a 19.9% market share.
Samsung maintained its leading position with a 2.6% increase in shipments, delivering 354,000 units for a 26.6% market share. Xiaomi and Acer experienced slight declines in shipments during the quarter.
For the full year 2026, Omdia forecasts total tablet shipments in India to reach 5.1 million units, a 4.2% increase. This comes as the broader PC market in India is projected to decline by 2.6% for the year.
