Indian Startup Funding Declines to $184 Million
Indian startup funding activity slowed in the third week of October, as 17 companies secured a total of $184 million in fresh capital.

Investment activity in the Indian startup ecosystem saw a 22% decrease compared to the previous week, when capital inflow reached $236.2 million. The total count of funding deals also experienced a decline, falling by 32% to 17 announced rounds.
Artificial Intelligence remained the most heavily funded sector for the second consecutive week, drawing $93.9 million across six transactions. The application layer startup Different led this sector with a $48 million seed round. Health tech followed as the second-most funded category, bolstered by a $50 million Series B investment into Even Health.
While market volume cooled, early-stage ventures remained a priority for investors, accounting for approximately 28% of the weekly funding total. Venture firms Trifecta Capital and Blume Ventures emerged as the most active participants during the period, each backing two separate deals.
