Indian startup funding reaches $130 million for final week of October
Indian technology startups secured $130.2 million across 32 deals in the final week of October, marking a 29% decline in total capital compared to the previous week.

Capital inflow into the Indian startup ecosystem totaled $130.2 million between October 26 and October 30, according to data from Inc42. The total funding volume dropped 29.2% from the $184 million recorded in the prior week. Despite the decline in total capital, the volume of deal activity increased significantly, with 32 startups successfully closing funding rounds compared to 17 the previous week.
E-commerce emerged as the lead sector, accounting for $33.4 million across nine deals. Major contributions included $10.5 million for Troovy and $9.9 million for Ace Blend. Artificial Intelligence followed closely, with $30.4 million raised by five startups, primarily driven by $14 million for Simplismart and $13.7 million for Live2.ai.
The investment landscape shows sustained interest across various stages, ranging from pre-seed to Series B rounds. While the headline figure suggests a cooling in large-ticket funding, the surge in the number of deals indicates a broad distribution of capital across emerging and growth-stage companies.
