Indian startup funding saw a significant decrease in the first week of October, with 25 companies raising a combined $122.9 million. This marks a 47.4% drop from the previous week, when startups secured $233.6 million across 16 deals.
E-commerce dominated the funding landscape, attracting $63.9 million across nine deals. DailyObjects was the largest contributor, securing $34.3 million in its Series C funding round.
The fintech sector ranked second in funding, accumulating $24 million. Other notable sectors included advanced hardware and technology ($10 million), edtech ($9 million), and healthtech ($8 million).
Investor activity focused on early-stage companies, with pre-seed and seed-stage startups collectively raising $12.5 million in nine deals. 3one4 Capital, Fireside Ventures, Prime Venture Partners, and AJVC each backed two startups.
