Indian startups secured approximately $58.9 million in funding this week, marking a sharp decline from the previous week's total. The enterprise services sector attracted the most capital, with advertising startup Flam leading the rounds with $40 million.

Indian Startups Raise $59 Million in Week Amid Funding Dip

Indian startups collectively raised about $58.9 million in funding this week, a significant decrease from the $321.9 million secured in the preceding week. The enterprise services sector was the most active, with advertising startup Flam securing the largest single round of $40 million in its Series B funding.

Across all sectors, 14 startups received investments. Enterprise services accounted for $42.5 million across three companies, largely driven by Flam. Consumer services saw three startups raising a total of $4.8 million.

Seed-stage funding also saw activity, with five startups raising approximately $10.1 million. VerifAIX's $5 million seed round in the semiconductor space was a notable part of this. In terms of investor activity, AJVC was the most active, investing in MoroMaa and Beijan.

Fundraising news also included the first close of India Accelerator's Finvolve growth-stage fund at ₹90 crore (approximately $10.8 million) and the closure of AI-focused Activate's maiden fund at $105 million. A new fund for advanced manufacturing and innovation, the Asiana-JCC fund, was launched with an initial corpus of ₹600 crore (approximately $72 million).

Other developments included acquisitions, such as Unstop's purchase of gaming startup PerspectAI, and progress on IPO plans for several companies, including PhonePe, which is targeting a listing valued at around $10 billion.
