Indian Startups Raised $209 Million This Week

Indian startup funding experienced a slowdown in the fourth week of July, with startups cumulatively raising approximately $209.1 million between July 18 and July 24. This figure represents a 26% decrease from the $281.4 million secured in the preceding week.

The volume of deals also fell more sharply, dropping to 14 from 24 the week before. Four funding rounds exceeding $40 million—Zetwerk, Veriqus, BUSINESSNEXT, and Raghu Vamsi Aerospace—accounted for $172.1 million, representing over 80% of the week's total funding. The remaining 10 startups had to share approximately $37 million.

Key funding rounds included $52 million for manufacturing solutions provider Zetwerk and $40.1 million for fintech firm Veriqus. Business software company BUSINESSNEXT also secured $40 million, as did aerospace firm Raghu Vamsi Aerospace.

Investors participating in these significant rounds included Bharat Value Fund, Norwest, ServiceNow Ventures, and Skegen Asset Management, among others, indicating continued, albeit slower, investment activity in the Indian startup ecosystem.
