India's startup funding increased in the third week of August, with 19 companies raising a total of $233.2 million. Fintech firm Navi secured a significant portion of the funding.

India's startup sector secured $233.2 million in funding from 19 different companies during the third week of August, marking a significant rise from the previous week. The funding rounds were notably boosted by a $100 million investment from global venture capital firm Prosus into fintech company Navi.
Navi, which is planning an initial public offering (IPO), received a substantial share of the week's total capital. Other significant funding rounds included $40 million for BookMyShow, focusing on consumer services, and $26.1 million for CtrlS Datacenters.
The fintech sector was the largest recipient of funding, with Navi and Rezolv together raising over half of the week's total. Consumer services came in second. The AI, advanced hardware, and e-commerce sectors each saw multiple deals.
Early-stage companies also actively raised capital. Nine startups in the seed and Pre-Series A stages secured approximately $9.3 million. Two companies, Tross and Neuromod Aqua, did not disclose their funding amounts.
