India's startup ecosystem secured $233.6 million across 16 deals in the last week of September. Electric vehicle manufacturer Simple Energy received the largest funding round of $180 million.

India's startup ecosystem saw a total of $233.6 million raised across 16 deals between September 28 and October 2. This represents a 14.9% increase in funding value compared to the previous week, although the number of deals decreased by 23.8%.
The largest funding round of the week was secured by electric vehicle manufacturer Simple Energy, which raised $180 million in a Series C round. This significant investment propelled the clean technology sector to the top of the week's funding chart.
Other notable sectors included real estate tech, with Gravity raising $15 million. Agritech and fintech followed, each securing $10.4 million. In the education technology space, Arivihan raised $10.2 million.
E-commerce led in deal activity with four startups collectively raising $3.8 million. Early-stage funding remained subdued, with seed and pre-seed startups raising a total of $3.3 million across four deals. Alteria Capital emerged as the most active investor, participating in three deals.
