Indian Startups Raised Over $321.9 Million in Early September

Indian startups saw a significant rebound in funding activity, raising a total of $321.9 million across 20 deals between September 7 and September 11. This represents an 82.4% increase compared to the $176.5 million raised in the preceding week.

The advanced hardware and technology, along with the e-commerce sectors, were the primary drivers of this week's funding surge. These two sectors collectively attracted $201.1 million across eight deals, accounting for over 62% of the total amount raised.

Among the notable funding rounds, Pixxel secured $100 million in a Series C round for its advanced hardware and technology ventures. In the e-commerce space, Nua raised $50 million in its Series C round, and Mokobara garnered $18 million for its Series C round.

Other sectors also saw activity, with AI startups like Graph AI raising $13.3 million (Series A) and QNu Labs securing $21 million (Series A). The week's most active investors included Peak XV Partners, Accel, and Prath Ventures, each participating in two deals. Funding in the early stages remained subdued, with only three startups raising a combined $3.3 million.
