Industrious Expands San Diego Workspace
Industrious, a provider of flexible workspaces, is doubling its footprint at Core Columbia in San Diego to meet growing demand. The expansion is expected to be completed by June 2027.
Industrious, a company specializing in flexible workplaces, announced plans to double its office space at the Core Columbia location in San Diego. The expansion will add approximately 27,000 square feet, bringing the total footprint to roughly 54,000 square feet. Members are expected to have access to the expanded facilities starting in June 2027.
The expansion is a direct response to increasing demand for premium flexible and coworking spaces within San Diego. The company anticipates particular interest from startups and growing companies in sectors such as defense, artificial intelligence, life sciences, and medical devices, areas where San Diego has established a robust technology and innovation ecosystem.
The Core Columbia workspace is situated in downtown San Diego, offering convenient access to public transportation, cultural institutions, and numerous dining options. Nearby development, including new residential buildings and a planned grocery store, indicates continued momentum in the downtown area.
Christos Livanos, Real Estate Growth Manager at Industrious, stated that the location's success and high occupancy rates justified the expansion. He noted a continued corporate focus on workplace flexibility and employee experience.
The expanded space, developed in partnership with GANMI, will accommodate 305 office seats and 50 access seats. Industrious also operates another San Diego location at UTC.
