Infinite Machine Olto Blurs Line Between Electric Scooter and Bicycle

Infinite Machine has launched the Olto, an electric vehicle that bridges the gap between an electric scooter and an electric bicycle. The vehicle features a design reminiscent of a classic Vespa, providing a comfortable ride with good acceleration and handling.

The Olto is equipped with a substantial battery and a rugged build, designed to withstand significant wear while incorporating thoughtful touches and security features for confident parking. Infinite Machine states the Olto is priced at less than half the cost of its more feature-rich stablemate, the P1 scooter.

Technically classified as a bicycle, the Olto can be set to operate as either a Class 2 or Class 3 e-bike. However, the pedals are intended to be locked in a forward position, functioning as footrests rather than for propulsion.

This design allows riders to experience the convenience of a scooter while leveraging the growing network of bicycle lanes in urban areas. The Olto aims to provide a scooter-like experience within the regulatory framework of e-bikes.
