Infios has launched a solution to automate data entry and reduce errors in LTL freight claims processing, aiming to lower costs and improve efficiency.

Infios has introduced a new solution designed to streamline Less-than-Truckload (LTL) freight claims management through automation and API integration. The technology addresses the processing of thousands of annual claims related to lost or damaged goods, as well as overcharges.
Traditionally, LTL shipping, with its multiple handling points, results in a high volume of claims that are often processed manually, leading to significant labor costs and errors. Infios's system automates data entry directly into claims forms from sources like emails, faxes, and spreadsheets. It also centralizes record-keeping and generates reports to help identify the root causes of claims.
The solution integrates via APIs with existing accounts payable and transportation management systems. This real-time data sharing is intended to reduce investigation times, improve communication, and mitigate financial discrepancies such as duplicate payments or missed credits. The goal is to create a more efficient process for both carriers and shippers.
With Infios's platform, shippers can submit claims through a portal, edit product information, attach documentation, and track claim status directly within their transportation management system. This creates an electronic audit trail, reduces errors, and enhances the overall claims review process. Infios is partnering with multiple major carriers to facilitate this integration.
