Infios enhances AI for supply chain execution without interruption

Infios announced an expansion of its intelligent supply chain execution capabilities with the introduction of new AI agents. These agents are engineered to operate within workflows for orders, warehousing, and transportation, enabling real-time, seamless orchestration and uninterrupted execution.

The new solutions aim to address the increased pressures on modern supply chains, where legacy systems struggle to keep pace with accelerating disruption. "Disruption is constant and costly. This isn't a cycle; it's the new baseline, and legacy systems just can't keep up," stated an Infios representative. The company emphasizes a shift towards automated action rather than manual reaction.

The AI agents are integrated within Infios's execution systems to orchestrate decisions and actions across different domains. Transportation agents automate check calls and manage exceptions, order and document agents process unstructured documents, and warehouse agents assist staff with inventory research and issue resolution. Optimization agents dynamically identify the best routes and fulfillment options.

Reported customer results include order release times reduced from hours to minutes and a 70 percent reduction in backorders. Automated order entry has achieved an 83% autonomy rate, and disruption detection and recovery times have decreased to minutes instead of days. Infios outlines a phased approach to AI implementation, moving from recommendations to fully autonomous operation within defined guardrails.
