Infomaniak clarifies hosting protocols for WordPress users
Swiss cloud provider Infomaniak has updated its documentation to outline the differences between automated and manual WordPress hosting environments.

Infomaniak has released updated documentation detailing the operational framework for WordPress installations within its hosting environment. The provider distinguishes between three distinct deployment models: its automated installer, manual user installations, and external WordPress.com hosting, over which Infomaniak holds no administrative control.
The automated installer, integrated into the Infomaniak manager, handles both initial setup and ongoing security updates, shifting much of the maintenance burden from the user to the provider. Conversely, for sites installed manually via archive files from WordPress.org, the responsibility for updates and maintenance remains solely with the user, as these instances are not tracked within Infomaniak’s application management suite.
These clarifications are intended to assist customers in choosing the deployment method best suited to their technical capabilities. The company maintains an extensive knowledge base to support users through each integration model, ranging from initial deployment to content management.
