Infomaniak Clarifies Newsletter Subscription Management
Infomaniak has published a detailed guide on managing newsletter subscriptions. The guide covers new registrations, re-registrations, and data deletion for subscribers.

Swiss technology company Infomaniak has released a comprehensive knowledge base article detailing how users can manage their newsletter subscriptions. The guide specifically addresses the processes for new sign-ups, re-sign-ups, and unsubscribing within Infomaniak's newsletter service.
The documentation explains that consecutive subscriptions to the same newsletter, even after an unsubscribe, will retain the original subscription date. However, if a user provides updated information during a re-registration, these new details will be applied, ensuring subscriber data remains current.
Infomaniak outlines three primary actions for managing subscriber data: manual unsubscription, deletion of the subscriber, and the "forget" function. Manual unsubscription marks a user as unsubscribed but keeps their record visible for potential future re-activation. Deletion and the "forget" function permanently remove subscriber data, with the "forget" option rendering activity data unrecoverable after 30 days.
The company states that none of these administrative actions trigger automated emails to the subscriber. This initiative aims to provide users with clear, actionable steps for maintaining their contact lists effectively.
