Infomaniak Enhances VOD Platform with New Subtitle Management Tools

Infomaniak has introduced new capabilities for its Video-on-Demand (VOD) clients, simplifying the process of managing and translating video subtitles directly within their Media Manager. The updates allow users to add subtitles through three distinct methods: manual entry, importing an existing subtitle file, or automatic generation using artificial intelligence (AI).

The new features enable users to upload or create subtitle files in formats such as .srt or .sbv. The AI-powered automatic subtitle generation can produce both the original captions and their translations into multiple languages. This functionality aims to streamline the enhancement of content accessibility for a global audience.

Infomaniak advises users to manually review automatically generated and translated subtitles for accuracy, particularly for proper nouns, due to potential misspellings. The platform also allows for the configuration of automatic subtitle generation rules for folders, ensuring that new videos uploaded to designated folders are automatically subtitled.

Alongside these new features, Infomaniak has updated its extensive knowledge base. This includes FAQs, tutorials, and video guides that cover subtitle management and other aspects of the VOD service, such as media upload and processing.
