Infomaniak Enhances VOD Service with Subtitle Management Features

Infomaniak, a Swiss technology provider, has updated its Video on Demand (VOD) service with enhanced subtitle management capabilities.

The new features allow content creators to upload, edit, and manage subtitles for their video content directly within the Infomaniak Manager platform. Users have multiple options for adding subtitles: they can import existing subtitle files in formats like .srt or .sbv, create subtitles manually by entering text and timestamps, or utilize an AI-powered automatic generation service.

The automatic subtitle generation function converts the audio track of a video into text using artificial intelligence. Additionally, the platform offers an automatic translation feature for existing subtitles, facilitating content accessibility for global audiences. Infomaniak emphasizes that these subtitles are non-destructive, meaning the original video file remains unaltered; they are provided as separate files linked to the player.

Furthermore, users can now configure automated rules for their VOD media folders. These rules can be set to automatically generate subtitles or translations as soon as new media is uploaded to a designated folder. This automation is designed to further expedite the content publishing workflow.

Infomaniak continues to focus on providing user-friendly and efficient VOD tools, while maintaining its commitment to privacy-focused, sovereign European digital solutions.
