Infomaniak, a European cloud service provider, has released a comprehensive guide for transferring WordPress websites to new hosting environments. The guide specifically focuses on utilizing the All-in-One WP Migration plugin, which simplifies the process of moving an entire site, including files and databases.
The procedure begins with creating a complete backup of the existing WordPress site. Users are instructed to install and activate the All-in-One WP Migration plugin on their current site. From there, they can export the site's data into an archive file, which contains all necessary components for the transfer.
Subsequently, users will install a fresh WordPress instance on their Infomaniak hosting. The All-in-One WP Migration plugin is then installed and activated on this new installation. The exported archive from the previous site is then imported into this new WordPress setup.
Infomaniak also provides guidance for addressing potential issues, such as adjusting server settings for importing large files. Once the site is restored, users need to reconfigure the primary site address and install an SSL certificate to ensure a secure HTTPS connection.
