Infomaniak Releases Guide to Resolve DNS Issues for External Domains

Infomaniak, the Swiss cloud computing and service provider, has released updated guidance for its users on how to resolve DNS (Domain Name System) issues when utilizing its Newsletter tool with a domain not managed by the company. This documentation is crucial for maintaining email deliverability.

The company emphasizes that for optimal functionality of its Newsletter service, the domain name used for sending emails, along with its DNS zone, must be managed by Infomaniak. For instance, if newsletters are sent from an address like 'updates@yourdomain.com', the 'yourdomain.com' must be under Infomaniak's administration.

For users who wish to employ the Newsletter tool with an external domain, Infomaniak provides specific instructions on adding necessary DNS entries to their domain's zone. These entries include details for DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) configuration, with specific advice on selecting the correct record types, such as CNAME, for proper setup.

The guide also addresses scenarios where a domain currently managed by Infomaniak, associated with the Newsletter service, is transferred to another registrar. In such cases, the service will be deactivated within 30 days unless the corresponding DNS modifications are made. This proactive measure by Infomaniak aims to prevent service interruptions and ensure consistent communication for its clients.
