ING Deutschland has finalized a new collective agreement with its works council that establishes mobile working arrangements for all employees. Under the terms, staff can opt to work remotely from home, alongside their usual office presence, provided they comply with operational, legal, and regulatory requirements.

The bank will provide a one-time, tax-free budget of 1,500 euros to help employees equip their home offices. Additionally, employees will receive a new budget of 1,000 euros every five years to ensure their equipment remains up-to-date. Funds can be used for furniture or technology, such as height-adjustable desks or monitors, through an internal online store.

Nick Jue, CEO of ING Deutschland, stated that the past year demonstrated the company's flexibility and the effectiveness of remote work, and the bank aims to support employees in setting up their home workspaces. Martin Bärwolf, chairman of the works council, highlighted the agreement's role in helping employees balance family and professional life.

The new framework aligns with ING Deutschland's ongoing strategy to increase flexibility and employee autonomy. Specific guidelines for managing collaboration within the hybrid model will be determined in the coming weeks in conjunction with the works council.
