Ink Different Tattoos is expanding its tattoo apprenticeship program to the San Francisco Bay Area with a new location in Union City. The expansion is in partnership with Only 4Ever Tattoo Studio, led by tattoo artist Paco Ruelas, who has 15 years of industry experience.
The program aims to provide aspiring tattoo artists with a structured pathway into the profession, emphasizing creativity and craftsmanship as a response to the rise of AI. The apprenticeship lasts 18–24 months and includes one-on-one mentorship from experienced artists like Ruelas.
Only 4Ever Tattoo Studio, established in 2023, has quickly garnered a five-star reputation in the Bay Area. The studio is known for its diverse artistic styles and professional team. Paco Ruelas is proficient in various tattoo styles, including Japanese, geometric, and neo-traditional.
Ink Different's program is designed as a college alternative, offering hands-on training without student debt. Graduates receive a guaranteed job offer upon successful completion, equipping them for a field where median annual income for professional tattoo artists is approximately $106,000.
