Inland Empire Health Plan Marks 30 Years of Service

Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) is marking its 30th anniversary of providing health coverage in California's Inland Empire. The organization launched a year-long campaign titled "30 Years, Caring Together" to acknowledge local partnerships that have contributed to healthcare accessibility, safety, and quality in the region.

Founded on September 1, 1996, IEHP initially served 62,000 Medi-Cal members with a network of 650 providers. Today, the health plan covers 1.4 million members, representing about one-third of the Inland Empire's population. IEHP has expanded access to care through community-based resources, including vaccination clinics, health screenings, and telehealth services.

"What began as an innovative idea to keep healthcare access local has become a vibrant community of more than a million people who trust us with their health," said IEHP Chief Executive Officer Jarrod McNaughton. He emphasized the organization's long-standing commitment to serving those most impacted by inequality.

The anniversary campaign features a "30 for 30 Challenge," a wellness initiative encouraging members, providers, and community partners to engage in 30 minutes of activity five days a week throughout October and November. IEHP will also host events at its Community Wellness Centers in Riverside, Victorville, and San Bernardino to foster health and connection.
