Inmo Recalls Air3 Smart Glasses Over Overheating and Burn Risk
Inmo has issued a recall for its Air3 smart glasses due to a risk of burns from overheating left temples. Over 1,600 units sold in the US and Canada are affected.
Inmo, a manufacturer of smart glasses, has initiated a recall for its Air3 model, citing safety concerns. The company stated that the left temple of the glasses can overheat during extended use, posing a burn hazard. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has documented 10 reports from users experiencing a burning sensation on their face and the left side of their ear.
The recall encompasses more than 1,600 units of the Air3 smart glasses sold in the United States and Canada between December 2025 and August 2026. These devices were available for purchase through Inmo's website, Amazon, and a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, with prices ranging from $900 to $1,000.
The issue stems from an identified technical defect causing the temple component to overheat. Inmo is advising all customers to discontinue use of the affected devices immediately and to contact the company for information regarding refunds or replacements.
While Inmo produces several variations of smart glasses, this recall specifically targets the Air3 model. The company has indicated it will continue to collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure consumer safety and address any product issues in future production runs.
